Students at Dike-Newell School took a walking field trip to the Chocolate Church Arts Center to attend a performance by Jack Golden.

Students were escorted to and from the venue by officers from the Bath Police Department. The presentation focused on the importance of protecting and maintaining clean water resources and incorporated a variety of engaging elements, including magic, juggling, and music. Students enjoyed an entertaining and educational experience.

Thank you to the Chocolate Church Arts Center for hosting the event and to Casella Waste Systems for sponsoring the program

A Whale of a Tale!
Kimberly Burgess

Dike-Newell School students were treated to an exciting, educational visit from Chunk, the life size, inflatable humpback whale!

Award-winning, nationally-recognized wildlife educator Jessica Woodend and her Within the Whale program brought the ocean to life with hands-on learning and inspiration about marine mammals and environmental conservation, all while aligning with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
