PBIS (POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORT)
PBIS is a school-wide system that is used to promote positive behaviors throughout our building and school day. At Dike-Newell School, we teach three main rules for PBIS - Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Kind. With these three rules in mind, we work on helping students understand how to walk in the halls, work in the classrooms, act on field trips, ride on the bus, eat in the cafeteria, and play at recess. Wherever they are and whatever they are doing, we try to recognize and teach these positive behaviors.
