Greetings DNS Families!

Please read this important update below regarding a change in law around vaccinations. NOTE - This is NOT COVID related in any way, but pertains to other childhood immunizations.

We have been in touch with families for the past year, and most are in compliance and up-to-date with this regulation. If you have questions, please contact the school nurse, Dawn Dill, and she will return your call or email once she is back in the school office.

By law:
Beginning September 1, 2021 no child will be permitted to attend school without evidence of immunization or proof of immunity against disease. Students enrolled in grades PreK through 12 are to be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, polio and varicella.

Since it takes time to complete the immunization series, call your child’s primary care provider today and set up a schedule to start receiving vaccines. Children will not be able to attend the first day of school if their immunizations are not up to date.
