Dear Families and Staff,

The district tested water fixtures at Dike-Newell School for lead and we recently received the results. Attached to this email you will find the public notice that includes a link to the specific results, a list of the school fixtures with elevated lead results with a plan of remediation, and an informational letter from the Maine CDC Drinking Water Program.

A number of drinking fountains tested high after being shut down for approximately 18 months due to COVID-19. The majority of these fountains have already been replaced with new bottle filling stations. All fixtures with elevated lead results will be replaced and retested. The district will provide you with updated results. Please contact David Richards at 443-6601 if you have any questions or concerns.
